SUMMARY

Bobbi Brown, a renowned beauty brand committed to sustainability, partnered with B2D for their end-of-life retail project. The objective was to effectively manage and responsibly dispose of excess point-of-sale (POS) display items. B2D's innovative approach met this goal and surpassed it, creating an impressive impact on sustainability metrics.

CHALLENGEs

Disposing of end-of-life point-of-sale display items in the cosmetics industry has long been a confounding issue. Many cosmetic brands, including Bobbi Brown, face a common dilemma – what to do with these excess materials that are no longer used. The lack of a clear solution often resulted in the disposal of POS displays in landfills, contributing to environmental harm and resource wastage, until they heard of B2D.

SOLUTION

B2D addressed the challenges with a comprehensive strategy designed for maximum effectiveness. Our process began with meticulous material recovery, as our expert team diligently disassembled and sorted the received materials, separating acrylic, HIPS, metal, and PE film components to ensure optimal recycling rates. Demonstrating our unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility, B2D proudly achieved a remarkable 99% rate of responsible recycling out of the 5,072 pounds of materials recovered. The remaining 70 pounds were transformed into waste-to-energy, diverting them from landfills and reducing their environmental footprint.

Beyond recycling, our efforts yielded significant environmental benefits, saving 6.90 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to taking several cars off the road, and conserving 426,330 gallons of water, making a substantial contribution to the planet's health.

The results

The collaboration between Bobbi Brown and B2D achieved impressive results:

  • Materials Recycled: 5,072 pounds
  • Responsible Recycling Rate: 99%
  • Waste-to-Energy: 70 pounds diverted
  • CO2 Emissions Saved: 6.90 tons
  • Water Conservation: 426,330 gallons

The Bobbi Brown at Sephora Campaign Return project showcases B2D's unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

By effectively managing excess inventory and exceeding our recycling and conservation goals, we have illustrated our dedication to our clients and the planet. We are proud to have partnered with Bobbi Brown in this endeavor and look forward to continuing our journey toward a more sustainable planet, together.
